Happy New Year to our community and friends far and wide.

Turning the corner into a new year (even in such times) holds the promise of beauty, growth and possibility. Just as grass emerges through seemingly impenetrable concrete, or the most delicate of flowers through desert stone, we are hard-wired to prevail. There’s no denying that there is struggle, tension, pain, resistance, but to not wither, to not quit expanding, is the inevitable and irrepressible precursor to blooming, fruition and actualisation.

It is the most accessible emotion to feel like the delicate and powerless flower beneath the desert stone, or the tiny green shoot beneath the concrete, but that’s not who we are. No. When we are beneath the stone and the concrete and the weight of moments in the history of this planet in the atemporal and atomic scope of this universe, we are something else entirely. We are the centrifugal force that drives up mountain ranges from the deepest ocean trenches. We are the beat of the butterfly wing and the gentle exhalation of the diving bowhead whale. We are the tectonic spaces between. We are the fire and stars that fill and become. Phosphorescence fainting upon celestial shores. Coded with miracles. Vessels of grandest design.

So when you feel the weight, remember who you are:

A gathering force of all that has ever been, and all that is yet to come, pressing through to that which was always destined to be.

The world is yours. Take your place.
